Warrensburg youth bowler receives scholarship

Warrensburg-native Cameron Holmes, who is set to attend State Fair Community College, was awarded the Carolyn Gilbert Scholarship for Higher Education by the Missouri United States Bowling Congress.

The scholarship is awarded to one male and one female youth bowler from across the state of Missouri.

Holmes anchored the Warrensburg bowling squad since the program begun in 2016 leading the Tigers to the state high school handicap tournament championship in 2017 and winning the state doubles event in 2018 and 2019. He was selected to the State All-Star team in both 2017 and 2019. Holmes also competed nationally at the Junior Olympic Bowling Championships in 2017 and 2018.
