Isotopes secure first wins with sweep of Post 11

Post 131 picked up its first wins of the season sweeping Post 11 7-0, 6-1 on Saturday, June 15.

Post 131 secured its first behind six innings of work from Jake White, who struck out 13 in the shutout effort.

Brodie Payne notched a pair of strikeouts in the seventh to secure the win.

Peyton Seiz, Caden Mitchell and Emmitt Parrott all got two hits.

The Isotopes got on the board in the third with three runs then extended its lead with four runs in the fifth.

Payne got the scoring started in the first, reaching on a hit by pitch then coming around to score on a single by Kole Conard.

Seiz and Mitchell scored in the third for the second and third runs for Post 131. A three-run seventh inning gave Post 131 some breathing room.

Mitchell finished with two extra base hits and four RBIs in game two.

Payne kept going on the mound after closing out game one, going three innings with four strikeouts. Parrott came on for the next three innings. Seiz shut the door with a pair of strikeouts in the seventh.

Post 131 hosts FIKE at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.
