Holden Family Care is a nurse practitioner-owned and independently operated family practice clinic in collaboration with Dr. Roger Thomas. The practice was established in August 2010 by Nurse Practitioner Dorothy Adams with the vision and mission of providing competitively priced, high-quality, timely, efficient and compassionate family health care to the residents of Holden and the surrounding communities.

The services at Holden Family Care include: well child, well woman and well man care; management of acute and chronic diseases; urgent care; laceration repair; bio-identical hormone replacement therapy; vaccines for children; orthomolecular supplements; and electromagnetic field technology to improve circulation.

Adams has a passion for diabetes and enjoys helping people manage that particularly challenging disease. Walk-in and home visits are available, and free diabetic education classes offered as needed.

Since Holden Family Care is independently owned, patients have the choice of where they want to see their specialists. The clinic accepts most insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. There are sliding-scale options as well as self-pay.

“Many patients who already have a provider, choose us for their urgent care needs,” Adams said.
