WARRENSBURG — Warrensburg swim will take its first lap around the Missouri River Valley conference under the direction of new head coach Annie Deterding.

Deterding, also the boys head coach, is excited to see what the girls season brings.

“The boys season had a really high end, but these girls are totally new to me, so I am waiting to see what they are capable of doing,” Deterding said.

The Lady Tigers return Emilie Marnholtz and Maddie Morgan and Deterding is exciting about adding freshman Ashlyn Moore.

“Ashlyn Moore has shown a lot of promise,” Deterding said.

After going through the boys season without a conference foe, Warrensburg will get some conference competition as the girls side.

“We are excited that there are actual girls teams in our conference,” Deterding said. “There is some good competition, so I am excited to see what we are capable of.”
