Hudson, Orval G. 1935-2019

Orval Gene Hudson passed away on June 12, 2019, at the age of 84.

He was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Orval Turner Hudson and Helen Dorothy Linn Hudson. He was the oldest of five children.

Gene served two years in the U.S. Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and Ft. Benning, Georgia.

He was employed by General Motors Corporation, Kansas City, Missouri for 30 years until his retirement in 1987. In the late 1980s he bought and lived on his farm in Warrensburg, where he lived along side his beloved companion Mary Draper Hammond.

Gene was known for his love of all things automotive, especially American made cars. He enjoyed buying and selling, fixing, NASCAR and demolition derby.

In his last 30 years he found joy with family, Marys family, Amber Heckenkamp, Allison Heckenkamp and life on the farm.

Genes family will remember his generosity, fun-loving personality, storytelling and love for his family and extended family.

He is preceded in death by: his four siblings, Donald Dude Hudson, Betty Boo Chandler, Samuel Squeek Hudson and Mary De Ebling.

He is survived by: his two sons, Mark Hudson, of Paola, Kansas, and Michael and Sarah Hudson, of Blue Springs, Missouri; three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

No services will be scheduled at this time.

Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.
