Lee’s Summit – Capt. Scott Shipers, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announced the assignment of three new troopers to Troop A.
The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 100th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on June 26. The new troopers report for duty on July 13.
Trooper Joshua D. Conrad, a native of Palmyra, is assigned to Zone 12, which serves Johnson County. Conrad graduated from Palmyra High School and attended the University of Missouri- Columbia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture systems management. Conrad is engaged to Alycia Camoriano. Trooper Conrad’s field training officer will be Trooper Brian R. Peters, and his immediate supervisor will be Sgt. D. Shane Green.
Trooper Robert O. Green, a native of Long Lane, is assigned to Zone 11, which serves Cass County. Green graduated from Buffalo High School in Buffalo and attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in flight operations management. Green is married to Laken (Ison) and they have a 1-year-old daughter. His field training officer will be Trooper Blake R. DeHaan, and his immediate supervisor will be Sgt. Andrew J. Bell.
Trooper Benjamin A. Owens, a native of Warrensburg, is assigned to Zone 9, which serves Lafayette County. Owens graduated from Crest Ridge High School in Centerview. After graduation, he attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, and served as a deputy sheriff for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department. Owens is married to Brittney (Stringer). His field training officer will be Trooper Matthew J. Hanrahan, and his immediate supervisor will be Sgt. Casey E. Utterback.
