Missouri State Highway patrol urges both motorists and farmers to be safe when farm equipment is on the roadway.

CASS COUNTY –Capt. Scott A. Shipers, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announced effective July 1, 2019, Cpl. Russell “Russ” W. Shaul was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 11, which serves Cass County.

Shaul was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Jan. 1, 1999, as part of the 76th Recruit Class.

After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Johnson County, Zone 12.

He was promoted to corporal in Aug. 2009 and remained in Johnson County.

Shaul was born in Keokuk, Iowa.

He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1989.

Before joining the Patrol, he attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and served in the United States Marine Corps.

Shaul is married to Peggy (Davis), who is originally from Laclede and they have three children, Nicole, 26, Andrew, 25, and Adam, 22.
