Across the country every year, hundreds of emergency responders representing fire, law enforcement, emergency medical services, towing and transportation agencies are struck and either injured or killed while responding to incidents on the roadway. In order to better educate the public and save motorists and responders lives, KC Scout, the Kansas Department of Transportation, Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri and Kansas Highway Patrols are celebrating Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week Nov. 10 to 16.
