Capt. Scott A. Shipers, commanding officer of Troop A, has announced the assignment of 10 new troopers to the Lee’s Summit-based Missouri State Highway Patrol troop.

The new troopers are members of the patrol’s 107th recruit class, which graduated from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy on June 21. The troopers will report for duty on July 8.

Trooper Wes M. Graham, a native of Joplin, has been assigned to Zone 12, which serves the citizens of Johnson County. Graham graduated from McAuley Catholic High School in Joplin, and holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice administration from Missouri Southern State University. He is married to Hannah (Fuller).
