Care Connection receives grant

Care Connection for Aging Services is one of six Kansas City community-based organizations to receive a grant from UnitedHealthcare of Kansas and Missouri. The grants were awarded at the CBO exposition. CBOs came together from both sides of the state line to network, learn about collaboration opportunities and present their work for the chance to earn one of six $500 grants. UnitedHealthcare stated it chose these organizations because they address the social determinants of health including access to healthy meals, high-quality care and transportation. Care Connection for Aging Services provides seniors with a variety of services from home-delivered meals, short-term in-home services, transportation, volunteer opportunities, Medicare and Medicaid Counseling, options counseling and other senior services.
