WARRENSBURG — Goody's, 721 N. Charles St., will close on Feb. 23 and reopen as Gordmans on Thursday, March 7.
A store closing sale is underway at Goody's.
Stage Stores is converting 37 of its Bealls, Goody's, Peebles and Stage stores to Gordmans, which Stage acquired in April 2017.
“Not only are we delighted to bring trend-right merchandise at incredible value to shoppers, but this new store will allow Gordmans to grow and bring our guests bigger deals and smaller prices,” Stage Stores spokeswoman Bria Lundy said in press release.
New merchandise will be delivered weekly, Lundy said, adding, “There will always be something new to discover when it comes to designer name brand apparel, home décor, footwear, gifts, accessories, fragrances and more for the whole family.”
All current associates have been offered jobs at Gordmans, Lundy said, and a job fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, inside the current Goody's location to fill a variety of full-time and part-time positions.
Gordmans offers competitive wages and offers full-time associates a comprehensive benefits package, she said, and provides “an energetic and engaging work environment.”
Lundy expressed appreciation for loyal Goody's customers, and said, “We look forward to staying in the Warrensburg community and having everyone visit their new and exciting Gordmans store in March.”
